WE INVITE YOU TO MAKULULU

In the scenery of the sub-Saharan savannah, hundred and thirty kilometers from Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, five kilometers from the town of Kabwe the Salesians run the children’s home for the street kids, primary and technical secondary schools. The needs of the project are enormous: it is necessary to provide food, medicines, clothes and the opportunity to learn for over 80 street children and over 1,250 underprivileged children from Makululu compound. Makululu is one of the biggest and poorest compounds in the southern part of Africa.
The children from the children’s home, those still on the streets and those already reintegrated with their families require constant help and care. In Makululu they get it all.

The Foundation bases its activities on crowdfunding. We don’t ask a few for much, we believe in the power of many to give a little. We can share with the children of Makululu what we have, they share their joy and gratitude with us every day.

Makululu is primarily people. We are united by one goal: a safe and happy future for our children and pupils. Let’s get to know each other better to understand not only the needs of Makululu, but also how wonderful and hopeful this place is. We are convinced that we are participating in something important and together with you we will bring many smiles to the children’s faces!

WHO’S BEHIND IT – PEOPLE OF THE FOUNDATION

Makululu is one big community – children, caretakers, teachers, Salesians, but also our donors who are on the other side of the computer screen and without whom all this would not look the way it does.
